Cool Earth works alongside indignenous villages to halt rainforest destruction. While saving the rainforest isn't a new idea, the way they go about it is. Instead of putting up fences or buying land, they put the people who depend on the rainforest in charge of it. By building better incomes, better schools and better clinics, they give their partner villages the resources they need to keep their forest intact. The clever part is that this forest is forming a shield to make the neighbouring forest inaccessible to loggers – saving millions of additional acres. Cool Earth is now working alongside 65 rainforest villages throughout the world.These partner villages are protecting over 350,000 acres of forest that lie directly in the path of chainsaws and bulldozers.
Wounded Wear's mission is to raise the national awareness of the sacrifice of wounded warriors, their families, and the families of fallen service members. In support of this mission Wounded Wear advocates on behalf and facilitates opportunities for those who have sacrificed so much. as well as providing free fashionable clothing kits and modifications to wounded warriors that work around the medical devices that empower them to rediscover the hero within.
